The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory warning of continued rainfall across several parts of the country.
In a notice issued, the forecast covers the period from 9:00 am. on Monday, December 29, 2025, to 9:00 am on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
According to the department, several regions are expected to experience persistent rainfall during this period. Residents are advised to remain alert, particularly in areas prone to flooding and low-lying zones.
The department also released a rainfall forecast map to illustrate the expected weather conditions. Authorities have urged communities to take necessary precautions and stay updated with the latest weather information.
“Weather Forecast | Valid from 0900 hrs Monday 29th to 0900 hrs Tuesday 30th December 2025 Rainfall is set to continue over several parts of the country during the period, as illustrated in the rainfall forecast map. Residents in areas experiencing persistent rainfall are advised to remain alert, especially in flood-prone and low-lying areas,” the weatherman stated.

This comes as the weather department issued a weather forecast warning of rainfall over several parts of the country from 9.00 am on Sunday, December 28, 2025, to 9.00 am on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
Areas likely to receive rainfall included the highlands east and west of the Rift Valley, including Nairobi, the Lake Victoria Basin, parts of the Rift Valley, the south-eastern lowlands, and the Coastal region.
On Monday, December 29, rainfall continued over western Kenya and the highlands, with scattered showers in Nairobi and surrounding areas.
The Coastal region and south-eastern lowlands may experience light to moderate rainfall, while most other parts of the country will have partly cloudy skies with occasional showers.
Temperatures across most regions are expected to remain moderate, with highs ranging from 24°C to 30°C and cooler mornings in the highlands.
