Four people have died, and several others were injured after a bus ferrying farm workers rolled over in Kajiado County on Monday morning.

According to a police officer on the scene, the bus belonged to Ngong Vegetables Ltd firm and was heading towards Ngong from Isinya when the driver lost control.

He said the trip was cut short in Kajiado after the vehicle lost control and rolled over.

“When the bus arrived at this point, it lost control due the sharp corner on the road,” he said.

The officer further stated that he was uncertain of the number of people that boarded the vehicle and that the police have assigned their officers to different hospitals to establish the number.

“We have not yet established the correct number of workers that boarded the vehicle but our men are working to find the number,” he said.

The officer reported that four people were confirmed dead and other several injured casualties rushed to the hospitals.

“We have lost four people and several serious injuries and others have been rushed to the hospital.”
