Detectives drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) have arrested another four Wells Fargo employees linked to Ksh94.9M heist.
The four include Joel Oyuchi Mweseli – controller/planner, Harrison Mugendi Njeru who is in charge of drivers, fleet supervisor Caleb Ouma Okinyi and Wells Fargo’s crew commander Ronald Ouma Oluu.
According to DCI, the quartet were some of the accomplices in the November 6 theft where millions of money vanished while in transit. Detectives say they conspired with the two prime suspects who are still at large.
“After thorough analysis of forensic evidence, detectives pursuing suspects in the November 6 thievery of over Ksh94.9 million while on transit by Wells Fargo staffers have today arrested four more suspected accomplices, all employees of the courier and security company.
“The four are Besides negligence of duty, the four staffers who are guests of the state for the weekend are believed to have conspired with the two prime suspects (Daniel Mugetha and Anthony Nduiki) who are still at large,” DCI noted.
The arrests made to eight the total number of suspects in police custody.
Previously, DCI nabbed four other suspects after Ksh9 million was recovered in a jerrycan at a house in Roysambu.
The suspects are being held at Capitol Hill Police Station pending arraignment at Milimani Law Courts on Monday, November 27.
