The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Serious Crimes Unit have announced they are after people posting fake job advertisements.

Some of the ads, circulated through various social media platforms, purport that the National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) is hiring.

In a statement on Monday, July 17, 2023, the DCI warned the public against falling for such traps.

According to the DCI, job seekers were duped to forward their applications to an illegitimate email account by a set deadline.

The fraud is run by a well-organized ring of fraudsters purporting to be NACADA Human Resource personnel who have so far obtained the personal details of the applicants, pretending to guide them through the application process.
