Speaking to the locals following the incident, Gachagua claimed that Arama, who is affiliated with the Jubilee regime, is working with President William Ruto’s administration.
The former Deputy President alleged that such politicians are seeking to destroy the United Opposition from within.
Gachagua, however, revealed that Kenyans would still kick out such politicians from office in the 2027 General Election.
“Kuna MP anaitwa Arama, akapanga wakora wakapiga gari zetu mawe. Nataka kusema Arama, hapana kujificha na Jubilee. Wewe ni mtu ya Kasongo. Huyu Arama aende asiende?” Gachagua claimed.
“Iko wajumbe wengi wanajificha kwa United Opposition lakini ni wa Kasongo. Waende wasiende?”
Gachagua’s remarks come as his convoy was attacked by goons who stoned several Land Cruisers during their tour in Nakuru Town West.
Following the melee, Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara condemned the attack and noted that the Constitution guarantees politicians the right to freely conduct political activities,
“We know there are goons on the Nakuru government payroll. We actually pay them with our taxes since they’re on a payroll. It’s unfortunate that since this is a competition, they should compete with us instead of beating us. There’s no point in trying to kill us. Look at the destruction,” Kihara stated.
“This is our country. It’s just so stupid that those who lead this country think they can do it using goons,” she added.
Gachagua’s team began its Nakuru tour on Friday morning with the official opening of a DCP office in Naivasha town before proceeding to public engagements in Gilgil, Soko Mjinga in Nakuru Town West and Kanu House in Nakuru Town East.
