Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has cut his United States tour to tend to the upcoming by-elections in Kenya.
The former Deputy President took to his X account on Thursday, announcing that he will be joining his party as it gears up for the elections.
He apologized to his diaspora supporters who were awaiting his visit, promising to resume the U.S tour in 2026.
“I am sorry to cut my trip short; my profound apologies to the organizers and Kenyans whom I were to meet; the same has been rescheduled to early next year,” he wrote.
“I have taken a few days to rest before heading home, and as promised, my itinerary will be made public.”
Gachagua further thanked those who received him in different American States, expressing confidence in the party’s growth in diaspora.
