A Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) tanker has exploded in Pipeline area, Embakasi, Nairobi County.

According to reports, the Monday noon explosion saw one passerby sustaining injuries and has already been rushed to hospital.

Firefighters arrived at the scene on time and managed to douse the fire.

Images obtained by Citizen Digital show an Embasavva 14-seater matatu and the tanker burnt to bare metal.

“The matatu did not have any passengers only the driver who was moving the vehicle after being stuck that is when it exploded. Both drivers for the matatu and truck are unharmed,” said an eyewitness.
