Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka praised Gen Z youth as this year’s heroes and heroines in Kenya, highlighting their role in leading a revolution that has ushered in a new era of accountability in governance. Speaking during a church service at Mwingi township, Kalonzo stated, “The move by Kenyan youths has opened the eyes of all Kenyans to hold their leaders accountable in various capacities.”
Accompanied by Jubilee chair Jeremiah Kioni, former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu, and a group of Ukambani legislators, Kalonzo also expressed his opposition to any illegal attempts to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. “It would only be fair if he is first heard,” he emphasized.
Jeremiah Kioni declared that Kalonzo was the only politician capable of sending President Ruto home in the 2027 elections. Meanwhile, Ferdinand Waititu apologized for supporting the UDA party in 2022, admitting, “They made many fake promises to Kenyans.” He pledged that the entire Mount Kenya region was now fully behind Kalonzo’s presidential bid for 2027.
Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua criticized President William Ruto for attempting to oust his deputy “through the back door,” accusing him of violating the constitution.
