A 28-year-old virgin woman in Uganda has stunned many after revealing that she gave birth to a child without being touched or sleeping with any man. Namubiru Suzan from Luweeru district in Uganda narrated that at that time she was 16 years old and felt unwell and went to the hospital. Doctors tested her and found that she was pregnant, something that surprised everyone because she was a virgin and had never slept with another man.
“I was 16 years old when I got pregnant, my mother asked me about the pregnancy and I denied it. The child has never asked me about his father, but when the time comes he will do so, I will tell him the truth that I got pregnant without a husband,” Suzan said. Suzan admits that she has never had a man and since then until now at the age of 28 she has never met a man and people in their village call her ‘Mary mother of Jesus’ because of her amazing story.
Her parents at that time were shocked and could not believe what happened to their daughter getting pregnant without sleeping with a man and their concern was confirmed at the hospital. The most surprising thing, even doctors found that she had never had contact with a man in bed and that she was not raped because she was still a virgin with a pregnancy. “It was very confusing for me to have a pregnancy without engaging in the act. So when the doctors examined me they found that I was pregnant but they also found out that I was a virgin, something that shocked everyone.
When the doctors failed to determine how I got pregnant, my father took me to a traditional healer and he also said the same thing,” Suzan narrated. The shocking incident left many unanswered questions for their many questions as the only human being said to have gotten pregnant without engaging in the act is Mary mother of Jesus from the Holy Bible who is said to have gotten pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Various theories were raised about the incident, some saying that in the river where those girls were going to dive there were men who were also diving there and others satisfying themselves thus leaving their semen in the water.Then when the girl dived she was entered by those semen and caused her to get pregnant miraculously.
According to the story, this could not be confirmed clearly but that theory was taken just so as to satisfy the community with an explanation of that pregnancy. The woman recalled that although she and her parents accepted what happened, neighbors, relatives and friends could not settle down and some were stigmatizing her for getting pregnant at a young age. The woman however went on and started her business and later got a man to love and live with. And now, she gives encouragement to other girls who find themselves in a difficult situation without answers. “When this happens to you, you should not give up. Get your child, raise him and protect him. You can’t understand, a child is a blessing and I don’t understand why some girls get pregnant and the thing that comes to their minds is abortion,” she advises.
The beauty insists that the difficult puzzle she has is to solve who is the father of her child, nor does she get a picture of the day her child will ask her that question. “It’s a very difficult puzzle though my son hasn’t asked me that question yet but I’m sure he’ll ask me one day. I can’t say who gave me the pregnancy because many men were diving in the river where we lived. I’ve tried going there several times to see if I can find a man who looks like my son, I’ve never found one who looks alike,” she said. “If I can find one who looks like my son I will ask him to do DNA tests and even if he doesn’t give me support for upbringing I will be happy that my son will have someone to call dad. Now my son has grown up he is 11 years old and studying at school, if his father comes I won’t let him take my son but I will just accept him to give me support for upbringing,” she added.
