Renowned gospel DJ Krowbar has opened up about the reason behind his consistent wearing of glasses.
In a candid conversation with DJ Mo on TV47’s reality show, ‘Love in The Wild’, Krowbar shared that a squint in his eye, caused by stress approximately 15 years ago, necessitates his reliance on eyeglasses.
Addressing the inquiry about his frequent use of glasses, Krowbar explained:
“I have a squint. These glasses are called Prism. By the way, I have great vision, but I also see two images.”
A squint is a disorder in which the eyes don’t look in exactly the same direction at the same time.
Explaining the origins of his condition, Krowbar outlined various circumstances that could contribute to such a visual impairment, including being born with it, experiencing an accident, or enduring periods of intense stress.
He candidly revealed that stressful situations in 2008, 2019, and 2010 had caused his condition until he underwent corrective surgery in 2012.
“It is either you were born with it, you had an accident or stress can also bring it. For me, around 2008, 2019 and 2010 I was in a very stressful situation and how I got this condition. Then, around 2012, I went for surgery and it was corrected but I have to be on glasses,” he said.
Amidst discussions about personal journeys, Size 8, another participant on the show, shared insights into her decision to undergo teeth braces, citing longstanding dental issues.
“I have always had bad teeth. I used to go for cleaning, and that is why I decided on braces,” Size 8 disclosed.
While acknowledging her current satisfaction with her dental health, DJ Mo emphasised his support for the journey, highlighting the importance of self-improvement and self-acceptance.
“Her teeth are currently good but it is not like I was complaining about the way they looked before but I am supporting her journey,” he said.
Krowbar’s wife emphasized the significance of embracing one’s unique qualities, emphasising a message of self-love and appreciation for one’s journey.
“God has taught us to never compare ourselves with others,” she affirmed.
