The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) National Chairperson Gladys Wanga says the party grassroots elections which are ongoing intend to strengthen ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Wanga says that ODM has now taken a new strategy aimed at capturing power despite the losses experienced in the previous elections.

Speaking when she voted during the ODM grass root election at Alara Korayo Polling Center in Kochia Ward, Rangwe Constituency, Wanga announced that the party is on a drawing board to enable it to come up with feasible strategies of capturing power that the party has missed since 2007.

She says they are likely to later discuss how ODM can form coalitions with other political parties ahead of the next general elections.

The chairperson says the party is also promoting democracy in its elections as a way of attracting more members.

She says the elections are going to give ODM the vibrancy it deserves in this country.

The Homa Bay County governor says the objective is to build ODM stronger at the grass root level.
