Gov’t Commits To Peace And Development In Northern Counties: 1000 KDF Personnel Deployed For Infrastructure Security

Defense CS Aden Duale has reaffirmed the government commitment to restore peace and tranquility in the Northern Counties that will see more infrastructural development undertaken in the region.

Speaking in Fafi constituency, Duale said over 1000 KDF personnel will be deployed to secure the Lapsset project as well Horn of Africa Corridor road construction from Modogashe-Wajir-Mandera that is set to begin in May this year.

Duale urged the locals to work with the government in giving vital intelligence reports to security personnel to weed out terror elements in the region.

Speaker of the national assembly Moses Wetangula echoed Duale sentiments by reminding the locals that peace is a catalyst for development.
