Today as we celebrate women, I need to confess that yes indeed I took the advice seriously and even went ahead to heed it. Allow me celebrate the power and impact of women friends in our lives, of course yes there have been days we have both brought out our claws on each other but there are days we have not only been shoulders for each other to lean on and cry , we have held each other strong and firm in different turbulences.
Whom do you serve the hot tea of your night out with your boyfriend? Of how well you love how he treats you? I do trust and believe that we do share our major fantasies with our female friends we spill our guts out to each other, acquire families not blood related but basically loyalty entrusted with each other. And just to go further we have our ride or dies in some of the women in our lives.
Beyond the women we have created relationship bonds with there are those who inspire our day-to-day decisions and give us purpose to be better versions of ourselves. These inspirations may be as simple as their dress code, how they move, how they speak and even how they conduct themselves in social arenas. So special are the women that in celebrating this day, one as a young woman who is still growing and developing on different aspects of her life, a young woman who hopes to grow and flourish into a grown woman who will not only be looked upon by other women in the society, but will be in proud and happy to be a woman. A woman who will be authentic and loyal in her way of life. Happy International Women’s Day.
