“Soon, two months from now, we are going to reduce NHIF rates from Ksh500 to Ksh300. In the current Financial year (2023/2024), in the Linda Mama programme, we have pumped in Ksh4.1 billion. Linda mama will cater for your clinic visits before you give birth. The programme will also cater for your bills when giving birth and it will also pay for you four clinics after giving birth,” Nakhumicha said.

“When I joined the Ministry of Health, I found a huge mess. I immediately moved in to clean the rot at KEMSA and things are back in good order there. I am also streamlining NHIF and soon the Fund will have a new CEO.”
