Homa Bay: Teacher arrested for allegedly defiling student

A 29-year-old secondary school teacher has been arrested for allegedly defiling his 16-year-old female student in Nhdiwa Sub County, Homa Bay County.

The teacher, who works at Nyamogo Girls Secondary School in Ndhiwa Sub-county, was arrested by police officers from Ndhiwa police station.

The teacher is accused of defiling the girl on diverse dates from early this year.

It is reported that he uses cakes to lure girls into sexual relationships.

According to the victim’s father, he discovered that the girl had been defiled by the teacher after she started having pregnancy symptoms. He then liaised with police to ensure the teacher was arrested.

Ndhiwa Sub-county Police Commander Paul Rioba confirmed that the teacher is currently under interdiction due to other cases of defilement.

The teacher has been detained at Ndhiwa Police Station awaiting to be arraigned over defilement.
