Pierra Makena addressed concerns about her being a victim of domestic violence after she was seen with a swollen face.
The entertainer on January 14, 2024, shared a clip of herself receiving treatment in hospital with her face swollen like a defeated boxer.

Makena’s post sparked concerns she could have been battered by someone.
However, the quadragenarian was quick to dismiss the notion that her face had been turned into a punching bag.
The mother of one explained that her swollen face was a result of a bad allergy, warning her fans to hold their horses and not to wage war with the imagined abuser.
“Fam I’m better and getting treatment from home. I didn’t get beat so my army lower your weapons. I got a bad allergy reaction and acute lower back pain. Details of the allergy when I get better… Thanks for reaching out and being there… love you all,” Pierra Makena wrote.
In another post, Pierra Makena reiterated that she was getting better and that she had not been beaten or involved in an accident.

Pierra Makena’s swollen face raised concerns as only months ago singer Avril appeared with dents on her face after being assaulted by her baby daddy video director Jibril Blessing.
Avril made damning assault accusations against J Blessing when she appeared with a swollen face in posts she shared on social media.
The singer even likened her baby daddy to a dog for beating the living daylights out of her.
The mother of one however made a sharp U-turn and jumped to her baby daddy’s defence as an angry online mob bayed for blood and justice over what he did to her.
The ‘Chokoza’ hitmaker wrote a lengthy statement narrating how seven years of dating and parenting with J Blessing had not been a bed of roses.
Avril stated that she had chosen to forgive J Blessing but acknowledged the move was for her and not to excuse her baby daddy’s mistake.
