Police in Homa Bay have revealed the identity of one of the two armed men who were shot dead after a dramatic car chase along the Homa Bay-Kendu Bay highway on Saturday afternoon.

Homa Bay Sub-county Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss Charles Koilenge said the victim was Eli Onyango Otieno who hails from Nyando in Kisumu County.

He said police were yet to identify the other suspect. Otieno’s identity was unearthed after investigators conducted a fingerprint search on his body.

The police also relied on information provided by one of the relatives of the dead man, who was called to verify his identity.
