Eleven sacks of bhang, along with illicit brews and other drug exhibits valued at Ksh. 10 million, were destroyed at the Judiciary in Narok. These drug exhibits had been in custody for the past three years.

Narok Chief Magistrate Hezbon Nyamberi stated that the destruction of the drugs was carried out in accordance with public health regulations. Narok Senior Prosecution Counsel James Kigo noted that the individuals arrested with the illegal drugs had been convicted, with some already having completed their jail sentences. He praised security officials for their efforts in apprehending the culprits and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any criminal activities.

Daniel Timayio, the Narok County Public Health Officer in charge of Food Safety and Control, confirmed that the proper procedures were followed during the destruction of the drug consignment. Narok County continues to be a significant transit point for drugs originating from neighboring counties and Tanzania.
