A 9-year-old boy has tragically drowned in a fish pond in Machakos County. The incident occurred in Mamba A village, located in Ndalani, Yatta Constituency.

According to police, the Grade Four pupil gained access to the gated fish pond without his parents’ knowledge, taking the keys to enter. The body was later discovered by locals in the Mamba Sub Location.

Area Chief Cosmas Kaloki confirmed the retrieval of the boy’s body, which has been taken to Mbaku Funeral Home in Matuu. Police are currently conducting investigations into the incident.
