A man was stabbed on Monday night in Downtown Mau Narok, Njoro Constituency, Nakuru County.

Local residents say they discovered his lifeless body by the roadside at dawn.

The deceased’s wife, Esther Wambui, a resident of Downtown, confirmed the victim’s identity, saying, “The man who has been murdered is my husband. He was killed around 1 a.m., and I ran to inform others about what was happening.”

According to witnesses, the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds, leading to speculation that he might have been a victim of a mugging or a gang-related attack

One resident remarked, “We woke up in the morning to find the man dead. We cannot comprehend or provide an explanation for this tragedy. His body was covered in blood.”

Mau Narok residents expressed their concern about the increasing insecurity in the area, citing that this was the second stabbing-related incident within a week.

Another resident said, “This incident has left us deeply worried because such stabbing cases are becoming more frequent in our region. We urge our police officers to promptly address this issue.”

Residents also recalled that less than a week ago, another man had been fighting for his life at Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital after being stabbed in the same Mau Narok area.
