Lesedi Developers, a troubled land-selling company based in Thika, has reportedly completed the processing of 150 title deeds for its Kithimani project in Machakos County.

Additionally, the company has obtained the mother title deed for another project located in Kiambu County, which is expected to reassure clients awaiting crucial documentation before proceeding with their land development plans.

The embattled firm also secured the mother title deed for its Muthara project in Juja, Kiambu County, after resolving ownership issues with the original property owner.

This development aims to resolve long-standing disputes between Lesedi Developers’ founder, Geoffrey Kiragu, and numerous clients who have accused him of breaching land sale agreements.

Kiragu, who faces accusations of defrauding land buyers totaling Sh5.47 million, has been out on bond since October last year. He is charged with 12 counts related to defrauding buyers while operating as Lesedi Developers Limited, allegedly selling land without proper documentation.

Among the complainants in court is Mark Wairi Kimani, who alleges that Kiragu defrauded him of Sh749,000 between February and March 2022 after he failed to conclusively sell him plots number 66 and 331 excised from land parcel Thika Municipality Block 40/2414.
