Kenyan airline Jambojet reported that one of their aircraft collided with poles during an overnight maintenance routine at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Monday.
According to Jambojet, the aircraft rolled off a ramp while parked, hitting poles before coming to a stop.
“Our team is working diligently with the authorities to investigate the matter and ensure all necessary measures are taken to prevent a recurrence,” they noted in a statement.
They also stated that no staff members were injured, and the plane has since been removed from service until it is cleared.
The airline also stated that the incident caused some flight disruptions and that all affected passengers will be notified.
Jambojet has assured passengers of their safety and stated that they ensure that all operations are carried out to the highest standards.
