In Nairobi, the Central Business District is practically inaccessible as clashes between anti-riot police and protesters continue for the second consecutive day of the Occupy Parliament demonstrations.

An international media journalist was reportedly injured, with fellow reporters assisting him to safety after he was allegedly struck by a teargas canister during Thursday’s protests.

Demonstrators gathered in large numbers, confronting anti-riot police near Nyayo House and various locations along Kimathi Street, Cardinal Otunga House, and Kipande Street.
