Junior Starlets coach Beldine Odemba has named the provisional squad for the upcoming women’s CECAFA U18 Championships that kick off on Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Nairobi.

Odemba says the aces will be out to maximize their home advantage to go all the way. The squad features a blend of girls from schools and a selection from elite Women’s League teams.

“We are excited about the upcoming CECAFA U18 championships, as this provides a great opportunity for our young talents to get exposure on an international stage,” said coach Beldine Odemba.

The duo of Ulinzi Starlets Fasila Adhiambo and Zetech Sparks’ Ivy Chepkirui will spearhead Kenya’s bid to clinch this year’s regional championships.

Also included in the squad is FKF Division One side Soccer Assassins FC’s Rebecca Kwoba.

The team will report to camp on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
