Moses Mudavadi struck the winner in the 56th minute after his deflected shot deceived goalkeeper Gad Matthews and into the back of the net.

Four more games will be played on Sunday to determine the final half of eight quarter-finalists.

Gor Mahia head coach Jonathan Mckinstry sayed he was very disappointed with the results.

“It was an extremely tight and competitive match and we are not pleased with the results, a draw would have been fair for us.” He said.

Kakamega Homeboyz tactician Patrick Odhiambo was happy with the win, saying that the good performance has been realised because of the support the players are getting from the management of the team.
