The first speaker of the county assembly of Homa Bay, Samuel Ochilo, has criticized a section of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition leaders, led by Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, over their alleged conspiracy to overthrow Raila Odinga from the coalition leadership.

Ochilo accused Kalonzo of planning to overthrow Odinga after four ODM leaders were nominated by President William Ruto to his cabinet.

Ochilo said the press conference convened by a group of Azimio leaders to denounce the nominations, led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, implied a coup against Odinga’s leadership.

Musyoka held the press conference on behalf of the Azimio Coalition in the absence of Odinga, who is their leader. ODM and NARC-Kenya parties were not present at the conference.

However, he criticized the Azimio leaders’ resolution, saying it amounts to overthrowing Odinga from his position as the coalition leader.
