TikToker Vincent Kaluma, popularly known as Kaluma Boy, has received special blessings from his 75-year-old grandmother after he visited her Othaya home during the burial of his uncle Paul, who passed away earlier last week.
In a video he shared on his Facebook page on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the elated grandmother is seen waving at the camera to greet the fast-rising TikToker’s fans.
After spending a few minutes with him, she then went ahead to lay her hands on his head before speaking words of favour over his life.
In the video, Kaluma Boy is seen bowing down in obedience as his grandmother spoke the sweet words over him.
While sharing the video, Kaluma Boy, who used a gospel song as the background music, noted that his grandmother found it important to bless him as he prepared to return to Nairobi.
He prayed to God that the blessing his grandmother had spoken over his life would come to pass, saying he was confident that Jesus would make it effective for him.
“My 75-year-old grandmother is blessing me as I go back to Nairobi. May this blessing follow me in Jesus’ name,” he wrote.
Uncle’s demise
The development comes just days after the TikToker was thrown into deep mourning following the death of his uncle, Paul, whose life was cut short under tragic circumstances.
Speaking in an emotional message shared on TikTok on Saturday, January 24, 2026, the TikToker revealed that his uncle died after a suspected wild animal attack.
Kaluma Boy explained that his uncle was heading home from work when the incident occurred, adding that it is believed he may have been attacked by either a hyena or a leopard.
“Hello everyone, I hope you are well. I have sad news to share. My uncle passed away on Monday while he was coming home from work. It is believed that he was attacked by a wild animal, possibly a hyena or a leopard,” he stated.
Kaluma, who rose to fame after TikTokers travelled to their Othaya home to fundraise for his ailing father, stated that the family grew concerned after the deceased failed to return home that night, noting that his body was only discovered the following morning.
He disclosed that the discovery confirmed the family’s worst fears and plunged them into grief, as the uncle had been going about his normal routine before the tragic incident.
“He was only found the following morning, when he was already dead,” he shared.
The TikToker revealed that he immediately travelled back home from school upon receiving the heartbreaking news, saying the loss had deeply shaken him and other family members.
He added that the family is currently making burial arrangements, with the interment scheduled to take place on Saturday.
He described his uncle Paul as a key and cherished member of the family, stating that his sudden death had left a painful void.
“I have just returned home from school, and we are now waiting for his burial, which has been scheduled for Saturday. May he rest in peace. His name was Uncle Paul,” he shared.
