Posta Rangers head coach John Kamau still believes in his striking force despite bluntness in the ongoing Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign.
Kamau did not beef the department in the midseason transfer window, despite admitting that the team has been struggling upfront, scoring 16 times only in the 20 matches they have played so far.
Only Nairobi City Stars,Vihiga Bullets and Wazito FC who have scored fewer goals.
“We have a good side but yes, we have been struggling to score. When I look at how we played against AFC Leopards we created chances, didn’t convert them and lost. Against Vihiga Bullets we had over 10 chances and we scored once – it is an issue. I however trust my strikers, we shall get results.
“If we keep bringing in players and taking others out I don’t think that will solve the problem. We need to be a little bit more patient with the players,” Kamau told Citizen Digital.
His striking force comprises of Timothy Otieno, Chris Onyango, Francis Nambute and Michael Owino, whom Kamau believes have a lot to offer yet.
The club has so far recruited left-back Titus Achesa from Sofapaka and winger Erick Kipkirui from Kenya Police FC.
Posta play Talanta on Wednesday in Ruaraka and Kamau is hoping that his side will bag maximum points in the assignment.
