Radio presenter Kamene Goro has celebrated her sixth anniversary with her husband, Deejay Bonez, with a heartfelt message on social media.
Kamene said that their six years together have been a journey of weathering challenges together.
“Year number 6! Happy Anniversary, Husband! It definitely has not been easy, but doing it with you has been the prize, my COVID love @deejaybonez254, the man who made me his wife, my best friend, the one who wipes my tears, who always reminds me who I am and holds me in his heart,” she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
She said the couple looks forward to a lifetime of more shared experiences.
“For 6 years of being together, weathering it together. And to a lifetime of so many more,” Kamene said.
She acknowledged the struggles they have faced privately.
“Only we know the depth and struggle of our journey and why we still keep at it,” she said. Kamene ended her anniversary post on a playful note, hinting at her enduring love for her husband.“Hatuwachani, mtangoja!” she added.
Relationship advice and marriage reflections
In addition to celebrating her anniversary, Kamene offered advice about relationships in an Instagram post in 2024. She said it is important to value friendship and be open to unexpected connections.
“Find your homeboy, don’t fall for these ninjas you meet out here… That guy you put in the friend zone is probably gonna be the person you spend the rest of your life with. I’m just saying,” she said.
Kamene also reflected on what marriage has been like for her after a year of being married to Deejay Bonez.
“Now I’ve been married for like a year. I thought it would feel different, but not really. It’s just like some long-drawn dating. We don’t stop dating each other, and we’ve become friends, which is something you need to look out for,” she said.
She said she is still in the experimental phase of marriage, taking it one day at a time and embracing the journey.
Kamene said celebrating milestones is not only about marking time but also acknowledging the depth of a shared journey.
