Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has acknowledged the nicknames she has embraced in her political journey.
The politician listed some of the names she answers to, reflecting on her political journey, indicating that there are more nicknames that have been given to her over the years.
“They call me Manzi wa Nai, Dem wa Kanairo, Kanairo Babe, Mama Kanairo, Mama Nairobi, Nairobi’s Sweetheart, etc., and I answer to all those names,” Nyamu stated in a post on Facebook on Thursday, February 05, 2026.

The names associate her with Nairobi, where the politician who is currently serving as a nominated senator is believed to be eyeing an elective seat.
Vibrant presence on social media
Blending her personal life with politics, Nyamu, who was at one point romantically involved with Mugithi hitmaker Samuel Muchoki, alias Samidoh, has amassed a sizeable following across her social media platforms.
Her social media posts include her life’s experiences as a mother, political engagements, and social events.
In December 2025, the lawmaker shared how she discovered new sides of her children during a vacation without a nanny.
The senator revealed that she went on vacation without her nanny, as she wanted to do everything for her children.
“On vacation with no nanny. I wanted to be the one doing everything for them. The simple joy of carrying your child in a towel after a shower, then oiling and dressing them, picking outfits, and even struggling to match shoes,” she stated on Facebook on December 31, 2025.
Discovering new sides of her children
She admitted that it was a truly fulfilling experience being there for the children as they spent quality time together.
“Taking them places and watching them be happy is so fulfilling,” she added.
The vacation also opened her eyes to a side of her children that she hadn’t known before, with Nyamu sharing her observations.
“I’ve also noticed new sides of them that I don’t get to see at home,” Nyamu shared.
She shared her observation of the three children on Facebook while reflecting on the joy of parenthood.

“Tami Tami is hilarious; tunacheka mbavu zinakauka. Teana is so classy and well-mannered; I even asked who taught her because it’s not me. Nimu Naye is super smart, and she is surprising me with how much she knows,” Karen Nyamu added.
