Political activist Kasmuel McOure has responded sharply to Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba’s remarks about his meeting with National Assembly Majority Whip Sylvanus Osoro. Wamuchomba had posted a picture of Kasmuel and Osoro on X, commenting, “My Son Kasamueri (Kasmuel) some spirits are transferable lol.”
In his response, Kasmuel questioned whether the spirits of the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party were also transferable. He challenged Wamuchomba to act in accordance with her role as an elected leader.
“You were elected under Ruto’s party. Weren’t spirits transferable then? You want me to die on the streets when I can tell you the truth when I meet you in person? If you did the right thing, I wouldn’t need to be on the streets. You’re the elected leader here. Act like one!” Kasmuel said.
His comments followed an explanation about his meeting with Osoro, which had sparked controversy online. Kasmuel clarified that it was their first encounter and he used the opportunity to address issues he has been vocal about online, including government failures, extrajudicial killings, and disregard for the rule of law.
Kasmuel emphasized that despite disagreements with Osoro, he remains committed to speaking truth to power whenever the opportunity arises.
