Kenya Met has issued a weather update for Monday, November 3, 2025, alerting residents to expect continued rainfall across several parts of the country.
In its forecast published on Sunday, November 2, 2025, Kenya Met highlighted that counties in the Highlands west of the Rift Valley, including Kakamega, Bungoma, Kisumu, Kericho, and Elgeyo Marakwet, will experience showers and thunderstorms over a few places tonight and tomorrow afternoon.
The agency advised residents in these areas to take precautionary measures.
Eastern highlands
For the Highlands east of the Rift Valley, including Nairobi, Nyeri, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Embu, and Meru counties, the forecast indicates cloudy conditions in the morning, with light rains expected over some areas, breaking into sunny intervals later in the day.

“Showers and thunderstorms are expected over a few places tonight and tomorrow afternoon,” Kenya Met stated.
North Western and eastern
North Western counties, such as Turkana and Samburu, and North Eastern counties, including Marsabit, Garissa, Mandera, Wajir, and Isiolo, are expected to have partly cloudy conditions at night, with sunny intervals prevailing through the day.
Kenya Met highlighted that strong southeasterly winds exceeding 25 knots (12.5 m/s) are likely in these regions.
South Eastern and Coast
The South Eastern lowlands, covering Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Taita Taveta, and Kajiado counties, are expected to have partly cloudy conditions tonight and sunny intervals during the day.
Coastal counties, including Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Tana River, are forecast to have light morning showers followed by sunny spells in the afternoon.
Kenya Met provided maximum and minimum temperatures for major towns, with Nairobi expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 15°C, while Mombasa will reach a high of 29°C and a low of 24°C.
