Kenya Power announces power interruptions in 4 counties

Kenya Power has issued a notice informing Kenyans of a scheduled power blackout on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

In a statement, the utility firm said the power outage affecting four counties is part of routine maintenance and will run from morning to evening.

“Good evening, Please receive tomorrow’s scheduled shutdowns,” Kenya Power wrote.

The four affected counties include; Nairobi, Kiambu, Kirinyaga and Nyamira counties.

Kenya Power said parts of Nairobi, Kitsuru estate area, will experience an eight-hour outage from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kawaida and Nazareth Hospital areas of Kiambu County also will experience an eight-hour power outage from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kirinyaga County’s areas of Mutitu and Ematex will experience a seven-hour power outage from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Power shutdown in Migori county’s Kehancha and Ntimaru areas will last 6 hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
