Kenya Power has today announced planned power interruptions in six counties on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
In a statement, the utility company mentioned that the power interruptions scheduled to occur between 9 am and 5 pm will be experienced in Nairobi, Kiambu, Homa Bay, Embu, Migori and Kilifi counties.
In Nairobi, the power interruption will be experienced in parts of Umoja, Riviera Mall, part of Ruaka Road, CUE, Riviera Mall, the Embassy of Switzerland and adjacent areas.
The power interruptions in Kiambu County will be witnessed in areas such as Zambezi, Nderi, KEFRI, Ngemwa, Ting’ang’a market, Ngemwa, Ngemwa police, Ting’ang’a secondary school and other adjacent customers.
In Migori, the power interruptions will be experienced in Rayudhi, God Jope, Golf Kachola, Mwisho wa Lami, and adjacent customers.

Similarly, in Homa Bay county the power blackout will be experienced in Wiobiero primary and secondary, Minambo Dispensary, Gogo Katuma primary, and adjacent customers.
Areas that will experience power blackout in Embu County are Don Bosco Melino Felice Mission, Embu Airstrip , Kabae cooling plant, Mashariki Rubber, Yonder Farm, Kianungi Primary, Highland canners, Kabage cooling plant, Mashariki rubber, and achoka market, Embu Mbeere Hospice, Njagi Rurima Farm, Rianjeru and other adjacent customers.
“In Kilifi power black out will be experienced in North COast Beach Hotel, Royal Reserve, Gurdum Villa, Salama Beach, Mwendo wa Panya, Ndodo, St. Mathew’s, Kanamai, Timboni, Safi Sana, Barani, Rembo Apts, Kariuki, Charity People, Mwavistwa, Toto Dogo, Kwa Zubedi, Msumarini, Mferejini, Sultan Palace, Seagas, Jallaram plastics, Kikambala stage, Afri wear EPZ, Revital EPZ, and adjacent customers,” the statement added.
