Kenya Power has announced a power outage currently affecting most parts of the country.

The power distributor confirmed the blackout in a statement on Saturday evening saying most parts of the country had been affected despite not specifying the locations.

“We have lost power supply to parts of the country. Our engineers are working to restore supply to the affected areas,” read the statement.

“We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience caused. An update on restoration progress and cause of the power outage will be issued later.”

While regretting any inconveniences caused to the public, Kenya Power says that the technical teams have already been dispatched to restore normalcy.

“Please be advised that we’ve lost bulk 66kV supply affecting all the feeders. Kindly be patient as restoration is underway,” it added.
