Kenya Power: There will be a power outage in nine counties today

Kenya Power has announced power interruptions in nine counties today (Tuesday, May 14) to facilitate network maintenance amid ongoing heavy rains causing damage across the country.

In Nairobi County, the larger Buruburu area, including parts of Kimathi Est, Jerusalem, Jericho, Metro Villas, Harambee Est, Uhuru Est, and others, will experience power outages from 9am to 5pm.

In Uasin Gishu County, areas like Kapseret Lemook, Kapseret, Mosombor, Shajnaand Quarry, Chinese Quarry, Nilkath Quarry, Kapteldon, and adjacent areas will face power interruptions from 9:30am to 5pm.

Nandi County’s Emdin Lelmokwo, Kwa Philip Magut, Kipkongorwa, and neighboring areas will be affected from 10am to 3pm.

Siaya County’s Simenya, Kodiaga, Maliera Sch, Sirembe, Lundha, Gogo Mkt, Nyangweso, Siriwo, and surrounding areas will experience outages from 9am to 5pm.

Kisii County’s Embonga Hotel, Kisii East Garage, CITAM Church, Senti, Botori SDA, Marshpark Hotel, Bosongo Hosp, Le-Premier Hotel, Kisii Junction Hotel, Mwenzangu Building, and nearby areas will face outages from 7:20am to 2:20pm.

Nyeri County’s P G Mureithi, Kagayu, Thunguma Mkt & Sch, Ndunyu, and adjacent areas will also experience power interruptions from 8am to 4pm.

In Kilifi County, areas like Marereni, Gongoni, Krystalline Salt, Kensalt Salt, Marafa, Malindi Salt, KEMU Salt, Mwembe Resort, Savanna, Adu, Ngomeni, Kabicha Water, and surrounding areas will be out of power from 9am to 5pm.

Lamu County’s whole of Lamu Island, Mpeketoni, Hindi, Mokowe, Witu, Kipini, MOA Village, Nyongoro, Kenya Navy, KPA Lamu, and adjacent areas will face interruptions from 9am to 5pm.

Lastly, in Tana River County, Garsen, Hola, Masalani, Bura, Mango Plant, Makutano, Mau Mau Sec Charidende Mkt, and nearby areas will experience power outages from 8am to 5pm.
