Kenya Sevens find themselves drawn in a tough pool for the highly anticipated NYC Sevens tournament, scheduled to take place on July 15 at the iconic Red Bull Arena in New York City, USA.

The tournament will bring together eight of the world’s top sevens teams, promising an unforgettable display of skill, passion, and determination.

In the Red Pool, Shujaa will face off against World 7s Series Champions New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. This draws a challenging path for the Kenyan team which was relegated at the end of the 2023 World 7s Series.

Kenya will have to tackle three formidable opponents to secure a place in the final. Each match will be a test of their abilities and strategic prowess as they vie for supremacy in their quest for the overall title. The team will need to bring their A-game and execute their game plan flawlessly to progress to the final.

Pool Blue also promises to be a fierce clash of titans with Fiji, France, Ireland, and the USA set to lock horns.

The winners of each pool will advance to the final, where they will battle it out for the coveted overall title. The second-placed teams will contest the bronze medal match, while the third-placed teams will compete for the plate title. The fourth-placed teams in each pool will face off in the bowl final, ensuring that every team has an opportunity to showcase their abilities and compete for honours.
