The upcoming International Yoga Day event in Kenya, scheduled for Friday, promises to be a transformative experience, combining yoga, meditation, and sound immersion.

Dr. Alia Datoo, the founder of Energy and Sound (EN-SO) and lead facilitator of the event, highlighted that it will offer a holistic experience aimed at uplifting the mind and spirit.

This blending of practices such as yoga, meditation, and sound immersion reflects a growing trend towards incorporating multiple modalities for enhancing overall well-being and inner peace.

The event is likely to attract individuals seeking to explore these holistic approaches to health and wellness, providing them with an opportunity to engage in practices that promote physical, mental, and spiritual harmony.

“The event features a curated blend of pratices for enhancing well being and promoting deep relaxation,”Alia said during a interview with the Star on Sunday.

She said during the event practices such as Yoga, breathwork, meditation and sound immersion will be carried out.

“Dynamic postures and mindful movements to boost flexibility, strength and inner peace will be done through Yoga,” she said.

The International Yoga Day event in Kenya will also include guided breathing exercises aimed at releasing stress, enhancing mental clarity, and facilitating emotional well-being.

The theme for International Yoga Day 2024 is ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (Yoga for the World as One Family), highlighting the universal significance of yoga in promoting unity and harmony.

Yoga, as an ancient practice originating in India, encompasses physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions.

The word ‘yoga’ itself, derived from Sanskrit, signifies the union of body and consciousness, symbolizing the holistic integration of various aspects of being.

During the event, meditation and mindfulness practices will be conducted to cultivate mental clarity, emotional stability, and self-awareness.

Dr. Alia Datoo emphasized that Energy and Sound (EN-SO) aims to revolutionize sound immersion and holistic well-being in Kenya, driven by innovation and a commitment to making wellness accessible to all.

EN-SO studios offer tailored sessions facilitated by experts, covering a diverse array of energetic and sound modalities to ensure a comprehensive approach to well-being.

These therapeutic practices include sound immersion, spinal energetics, breathwork, yoga and movement, art therapy, and conscious life coaching, all designed to enhance physical, emotional, and holistic well-being.
