Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has warned President William Ruto’s administration and potential investors against any attempts to sell or buy the Kenya Pipeline Company.
Speaking in Chuka, Meru County during a traditional wedding ceremony, Kalonzo said the strategic state corporation cannot be auctioned off under the guise of privatization, insisting that the

Opposition will reclaim the asset should such a move go through. He further criticized government empowerment programs, saying they illustrate abuse of office.

“It is too late Mr Ruto, it is too late you telling an investor ukitaka kununua mali ya umma halafu ununue saa hii kiholela, in 2 years time, tutakuambia chukua mali yako, please hear me, tutakataa, tutarejesha mali ya umma mikononi mwa wananchi wa Kenya,” Kalonzo said.

“Tabia gani hii, mheshimiwa mnaenda empowerment, Ruto millioni tano, Kindiki millioni tatu, ma MCA millioni hii, halafu mkitoka hapo shillingi 64. Kenyans are watching. Hayo ndiyo maneno yanaudhi vijana wetu, this is abuse of office,” he added.

“Na hiyo kuuza Kenya Pipeline inamaanisha, mambo ya mafuta ya Wakenya, inapitia kwa mtambo mikononi mwa mtu binafsi, tukiuza. There are certain critical installations ya dunia hii na ya Kenya hii ambazo lazima ziwe kuwa mikono ya serikali. One of them is the airport, tunakushukuru you fought hiyo mambo ya kuuza airport ikasimama,” Kathiani MP Robert Mbui noted.
