A police officer is in custody after allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl.
According to a police report seen by K24 Digital, the officer, Felix Shiundu, was arrested in Kipkelion area of Kericho County after allegedly escorting the minor to an unknown location for an abortion.
“Today (Thursday) in the morning, he allegedly escorted her to Litein and facilitated her transport to Kaplong where she was found prior to being brought to the station,” the police report reads in part.
When questioned, the young girl told the officers that she was in an active sexual relationship with the cop.
“Upon inquiry, she alleges to have been in an active sexual relationship with one PC Felix Shiundu of Barsielle Police Post, and that as a consequence of being defiled by the said officer, she became pregnant,” the police report added.
Missing girl found
Police said they found the girl after a missing persons report was filed on Wednesday, May 10.
The minor was reunited with her parents after recording her statement.
So far, police have confiscated the cop’s mobile phone and his two sim cards for a forensic audit.
The officer is cooling his heels in custody pending arraignment in court where he will answer to charges of defilement and aiding in procuring an abortion.
