Worry is mounting within Kenya’s diaspora community in the US after a 23-year-old Kenyan graduate went missing in the Seattle-Tacoma area of Washington State, the second such case involving a young Kenyan man in the country within days.
Kevin N Kamau, a recent University of Washington Tacoma graduate, was last spotted at Tacoma Mall on Sunday, August 24.

His family and friends are now urgently reaching out to the public for any information that could help locate him.
Those searching for Kamau have described him as roughly 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 220 pounds, with a heavy, stocky build and a dark complexion.
He has short black hair, brown eyes, a moustache and a short beard. A septum nose piercing makes him particularly distinctive and could help members of the public identify him.
When last seen, he had on a brown jacket and blue jeans. He was not carrying a bag and was not wearing glasses.
How to Contact Kamau’s Family Kamau is believed to have been driving a silver Toyota Corolla, thought to be a 2001 or 2002 model, registered in Washington under licence plate CNJ9112.
Spotting the vehicle in the Tacoma or Seattle area could be critical to establishing his movements.
