Rapper Khaligraph Jones has spoken out after finding himself in an unusual moment during a high-energy performance in Migori, when a fan unexpectedly jumped onto his back mid-show.

The incident, captured on video and shared on his Instagram on Friday, December 26, 2025, quickly went viral.

The footage shows the fan climbing onto the stage and onto Khaligraph’s back while the performance was ongoing.

Two security personnel initially attempted to remove him, but the fan resisted, prompting additional backup. Despite the disruption, Khaligraph remained composed, allowing security to guide the fan off his back.

However, he soon intervened, preventing the fan from being fully removed from the stage. Khaligraph held the fan’s hand, spoke to him briefly, and ultimately invited him forward to continue the performance.

The rapper and fan then jumped side by side, keeping the crowd energised and turning what could have been a chaotic moment into an interactive highlight of the show.

In his Instagram post, Khaligraph urged fans to remain calm and treat artists with respect during live shows, saying, “Wacheni kunyonga wasanii bwana, karibu leo waniingize forex, kujeni polepole.”

Another unusual fan encounter

Khaligraph’s encounter is not the first time Kenyan artists have had to navigate unexpected fan excitement. In May 2025, singer Willy Paul found himself at the centre of a viral moment during the official launch of his new liquor business.

A female fan attempted to kiss him at the event, prompting the singer to politely dodge the advance while maintaining composure.

In another incident in January 2025, Nigerian superstar Burna Boy faced a more aggressive fan. During a show, a fan suddenly charged toward the stage.

Burna Boy reacted immediately, kicking the fan before storming off. He ended the show early, telling critics afterwards that safety is non-negotiable even if it costs him goodwill.
