Residents of Kibra have decried the poor state of roads in their neighborhood.

The residents claim that that the terrible state of the roads has impacted transport and mobility in the area.

Matatu drivers have called out the government for what they termed as lack of effort on their part in ensuring that the link roads are in good condition

Motorists have resorted to leave their cars at home after multiple visits to the garage, thanks to   the roads which are punctuated with big potholes.

‘’I have been forced to leave my car at home to use matatus because I don’t want my tires to be ripped by the holes,’’ a resident said.

Others now use alternative routes to reach their destinations, evading the pot-hole filled road.

‘’I have to use the Adams-Woodley route to reach Ngong Road so that I avoid the Makina route,” another added.

According to them, it is nearly impossible to navigate especially when it rains.

In their plea for intervention, residents have urged the county government and local leaders to maintain the roads.
