A Fourth-Year student from Kirinyaga University was fatally attacked by unknown assailants at Kutus Trading Centre around 9pm.
The student was in the company of friends when the attack occurred, leaving his friends in a state of shock.
James Mutua, the Mwea East sub-county Police Commander, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation into the murder had been initiated.

The young man is said to have been attacked at the Kutus Trading Centre at around 9pm as he was in the company of his friends, who were left in shock following the incident.
Search Mission Continues According to a report, the student collapsed and was bleeding from the thigh after he was attacked; his friends tried to call for help.
Mwea East sub-county Police Commander James Mutua confirmed the incident, saying a probe into the student’s murder had commenced. “We have informed his relatives, and right now, we are waiting for postmortem,” he said.
