Police in Nyamache were forced to lob teargas to disperse angry demonstrators who thronged roads in Bobasi demanding the arrest of South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro over Nyakembene shooting.

The residents led by a section of members of Kisii County Assembly faulted the police officers for excessive force while dispersing the residents.

Earlier in the morning the angry protesters carried a coffin with Osoro’s effigy to express their anger.

This comes as lawyers allied to Governor Arati also faulted the lawmaker for allegedly colluding with some officers in uniform to alter statements made by the Governor at the Kisii police station over the shooting incident.
