A woman has allegedly been stabbed to death in the Menyinkwa area of Kisii Central Ward, Nyaribari Chache Constituency, in Kisii County, in what police believe was a dispute rooted in a suspected love triangle.

Officers from Kisii Central arrested a woman suspected of carrying out the fatal attack, and she is currently being held at Kisii Central Police Station.

The victim’s body had reportedly been lying at the scene since 5 pm before authorities responded and oved it to the mortuary.

The deceased was allegedly involved in a dispute with the suspect over a title deed that she is said to have been sharing with the suspect’s husband, suggesting the conflict straddled both romantic and financial grievances.

Following the attack, residents gathered, attempting to attack the suspect, but luckily, police officers present at the scene intervened and rushed her to hospital for medical attention before she was subsequently arrested.
