A primary school teacher from Gucha, Kisii County was on Thursday arraigned for forging certifications and presenting them to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in 2007.

Isaiah Okombo Otieno alias Daudi Ochoi Magero, who was arrested by EACC detectives at Nyakeyo market in South Mugurango, was also charged with personation, fraudulently acquiring property, and providing false information to a person employed in the public service.

He denied all the charges before Kisii Senior Magistrate Wa Kugwa Waihinya.

Should the suspect be found culpable, he will be forced to return to the state, emoluments worth Ksh.3.3 million earned as salaries and allowances between February 2007 and May 2019.

The case will be mentioned on April 25.
