After more than a month of fruitlessly looking for school fees to enable him to join Form one at Kisumu Boys High school, the top pupil at Rabuor primary school Adrian Momanyi who scored 369 marks in KCPE tearfully walked back to his former school to attend classes even as his hopes of joining form one remained alive.

Momanyi hopes that a well-wisher will come to his rescue. Speaking to K24 Digital, the optimistic Momanyi narrated how his family’s financial constraints led him back to Rabuor Primary School.

The 14-year-old boy stated that his mother is self-employed and that the earnings from her business cannot sustain their family.

“I was given a calling letter to Kisumu Boys High School but I was not able to join because of the high school fees. My mother is self-employed and the business she does cannot even support our feeding and clothing. I would like to ask anyone who can help me to go to school, to just help me,” the emotional Momanyi appealed.

Rabuor Primary’s Headteacher Dick Awuonda also appealed to well-wishers to come to Momanyi’s rescue.

“Today I was surprised when I received one of my parents who came with her son that she wants to repeat. I was shocked to be called because, as far as I’m concerned, this boy, Adrian Momanyi, was one of our best in last year’s KCPE, where he scored 369 marks and was invited to join Kisumu Boys High School.
