Kenya Airways has entered into a partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Kenya to strengthen their joint efforts against human trafficking and to improve the protection of migrants.

The two organizations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their collaboration, focusing on promoting safe, orderly, and regular migration both within Kenya and internationally.

Under the MoU, signed in Nairobi, Kenya Airways staff will undergo specialized training provided by IOM. This training aims to equip airline personnel with the skills to identify and effectively respond to migrants who may be in vulnerable situations.

“This MoU marks a significant milestone in our efforts to safeguard the rights and dignity of migrants. By joining forces with Kenya Airways, we can enhance our outreach and impact, ensuring that migration is safe and beneficial for all,” said IOM Chief of Mission Dimanche Sharon.

Under the agreement, Kenya Airways and IOM will implement measures to identify and reduce trafficking, facilitate regular migration pathways and promote the protection of migrants.
