Kenyan content creator Christine Irungu, popularly known as Kris Baby, has turned 28 and reflected on a year she describes as one filled with challenges, healing, and unexpected blessings.
Taking to social media to mark her birthday, Kris Baby looked back on her 27th year, revealing that she went through moments that made her feel like she was losing a lot, only to later realise that God was preparing something greater for her.
“27 was definitely a year. A little bit of breaking, a lot of healing, and blessings I never saw coming,” Kris Baby wrote on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
“I thought I was losing so much, only to realise God was giving me so much more.”
Kris Baby said the biggest blessing of the year was the arrival of her son, whom she welcomed in December 2025.
“And then came my biggest blessing, my son,” she added.
She also credited her faith for helping her navigate the different experiences of the past year, saying she had learnt important lessons about her strength and the love surrounding her.
“God has been faithful through it all. I’ve learnt that I’m stronger than I give myself credit for, and that I’m surrounded by so much love,” Kris Baby said.
She concluded her birthday message with a playful nod to turning 28, writing, “Here’s to 20-ATE.”
Motherhood
Kris Baby previously opened up about her experience as a new mother, describing motherhood as a beautiful feeling.
“I love being a mom. I have my baby boy, so handsome; it is such a beautiful feeling,” she said during an interview with local YouTubers in January 2026.
The content creator also revealed that becoming a mother was something she had planned for, having previously set herself the goal of having a child by the age of 28.
“I have always said that I want a kid by 28, and I am turning 28 this year,” she disclosed.
Kris Baby announced the birth of her first child, a baby boy, in December 2025 after sharing a glimpse of her experience at Nairobi Hospital.
At the time, she explained that she had chosen to keep the moment private as she adjusted to motherhood before introducing her son to the public.
“I met him, fell in love, and kept him to myself for a bit. Now… ladies and gentlemen, meet ‘Jojo’, aka ‘the mjunia,’” she wrote.
The new mother has also maintained that she prefers keeping her family life private, saying she wants to retain parts of her life that are not exposed to the internet.
“I got have something to go back to, Niki. Share hii yote kwa mtandao. What do I have to go back to? “I have something personal for me and also what I choice to share is what people should take hiyo yengine haiwahusu,” she said.
“My family stays private na chenye mimi nawaonyesha; that is what you get to enjoy,” Kris Baby added.
